Axis file types
Axis has two native file types - one for storing a whole 3D scene - the AXS file type, and the other for storing images - the AXI file type.
These own file types are always supported, granting a reliable resource on any platform or implementation of Axis.
They also, of course, fit exactly the needs of the respective Axis media.
Both of these are open formats and also intrinsically extendable, customizable and backward compatible. They comply with Axis' hierarchical data serialization standard and if needed, can store custom user data without compromising their validity and readability to other Axis driven applications.
